This eliminates the need to visit multiple departments and offices separately.
What Is the NMC Single Window System for Ganesh Mandals?
The single window system is a centralised online platform built specifically for Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals in Nagpur. Through this platform, mandals can apply for all necessary permissions in one place. These include the NMC zone-level permission, No Objection Certificate from the Police Department, and No Objection Certificate from the Fire Department.
The system is accessible through the official NMC website as well as the My Nagpur App. Mandals that had registered on the platform in previous years do not need to register again. They simply need to enter their registered mobile number and generate a One-Time Password to log in and apply.
Where Will Offline Help Be Available?
NMC has recognised that not all mandal organisers may be comfortable with the online process. To assist them, the civic body has established dedicated Ganesh Mandal Permit Facility Centres at each of its ten zone offices across Nagpur.
These offline counters will serve as single-point help desks. Mandal representatives who face difficulties with online applications can visit their nearest zone office and get assistance from designated staff. The counters will accept, process, and track applications on behalf of mandals that need support.
How to Apply Online Step by Step
Applying through the NMC online system is straightforward. Mandals need to visit the NMC official website and click on the Ganesh Mandal Permission option on the dashboard. After reading the terms and conditions and clicking Agree, the application form will open. Mandals must fill in all required details accurately and upload a map showing the exact site of the pandal.
Along with the map, the following documents must be uploaded. These are a letter of undertaking, a certificate regarding private land for police permission, and a No Objection Certificate from residents of the surrounding area. After uploading all documents, the application can be submitted online. Mandals can also track the real-time status of their application directly through the NMC dashboard.
What Happens If an Application Is Rejected?
Applications can be rejected for specific reasons. The most common ground for rejection is the proposed pandal location falling on a busy thoroughfare or a congested spot without adequate space for traffic movement. Traffic Police inputs play a key role in such decisions.
Applications that are incomplete or missing required details are also flagged separately. Mandals in such cases are given an opportunity to provide the missing information and resubmit. NMC has urged all mandal organisers to fill in every field carefully and upload all required documents at the time of first submission to avoid delays.

NMC has also reiterated an important rule regarding idol materials. As per the directives of the Central Pollution Control Board, Plaster of Paris idols remain banned for Ganeshotsav 2026. All mandals and individual households are required to install only clay or eco-friendly idols this year.
Sculptors and artists who wish to create idols for the festival must obtain registration and a license through their respective NMC zone office before beginning work. NMC has appealed to citizens to celebrate Ganeshotsav in an environment-friendly manner and support the shift to clay idols fully.
