During the search of the premises, the team recovered 108.5 kg of plastic and non-woven bags, Tambe said. The trader is set to face a three-month prison sentence. The third alleged crime committed by Gupta, it was also revealed.
According to Tambe, on February 9, the team raided his place and recovered 1,130 kg of plastic bags and recovered Rs5,000 in fine. Just a month later, on March 12, the team again found around 3.5 kg of banned plastic bags in its premises. Because it was his second offence, Gupta paid Rs10,000 as a penalty.
