SNDL Removed- Nagpur

From a long time due to financial condition SNDL has shown its inability to handle the electricity distribution system in the city and had requested the MSEDCL to now take control of the above area, especially to avoid consumer inconvenience. From midnight MSEDCL had taken possession of the distribution system in Nagpur on September 8, 2019,  informed Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister for Energy, New and Renewable Energy and Guardian Minister of Nagpur district. In 2011, the cumulative electricity distribution losses of the Mahal, Gandhibagh and Civil Lines Divisions in Nagpur city were 30.06 per cent, as the improvement in the distribution system of this section from May 1, 2011, to Ms S. N. D. L. The company was appointed as a distribution franchisee. Since then, the distribution system of the division on this franchise has been maintained till date and the distribution loss of this area in 2019 is 13.74%. Ms S. N. D. L. Due to the financial condition of the the company, in its letter dated August 12, 2019 and September 6, 2019, showed the company’s inability to maintain electricity distribution system and requested MSEDCL to take over the above area, in order to avoid inconvenience to the consumers in the distribution franchise area today, Sunday 08 September 2019.

From the middle of the night to the MSEDCL, has decided to take possession of the distribution system. Due to this, the MSEDCL will be successful in providing continuous and quality supply to consumers in the area,” said Chandrashekhar Bawankule.Ms. S. N. D. L. many of suppliers and employees of S. N. D. L. All of these are expected to provide full support for customer service and outstanding recovery, as may be determined by payment of dues from the arrears, which will be deducted from the proceeds. S. N. D. L. He also said that efforts will be made to integrate the regular and external sources of it into the staff of the out source of MSEDCL. He also informed that MSEDCL has appointed 3 Executive Engineers, 9 additional Executive Engineers, 6 Deputy Executive Engineers and 29 Assistant Engineers for the acquisition of distribution system in the distribution franchise sector. MSEDCL has deployed a total of 105 technical staff (105 technical staff for 35 power distribution centres, one technical staff per shift) and 40 engineers for For the maintenance of the distribution system in the distribution franchise area.

To ensure smooth functioning of the franchise area a special control room (mobile number 7875760070) has been set up in the Circle office. All consumers should cooperate with MSEDCL in the current situation said Energy Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule. “Maha Trafficapp” Launched.

From February 8, 2019 ‘One State, One E-challan’ the ambitious project of Maharashtra state has been implemented in the city. State Police have launched ‘MahaTrafficapp’. With the help of this app, the vehicle owners can find out if e-challans have been issued to their vehicles and pay them. This app will be really useful for the citizens as well, it will assist citizens to upload the live image of traffic violations they spot, like helmetless riding or talking on the phone while driving, as well as report incidents disrupting traffic flow, like tree collapse and expect prompt action.

This new app will curb all old irregularities like now commuters tweet photographs and videos of traffic violations to Nagpur Police’s Twitter handle, and in some instances, police respond with details of the e-challan issued to the offenders. Not only for Android, but the ‘MahaTrafficapp’ has also been launched on IOS platforms. The citizens can download the app according to their cell phones and enrol their vehicle numbers. For any issues, citizens can register any complaint with a single click on Civilian reports. It contains all information regarding traffic alert, fines, traffic signs, road safety.

Gadkari on fine hike for traffic violation.

Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said the steep hike in traffic rules by stating that it was really needed to improve the situation on the roads. “Is money more important than life? It is the only fear which will actually make people follow the law, else they were taking it lightly till now. Close to 30 per cent driving licences in the country are fake, people were dying, that is why strict laws were made,” Gadkari said at an event.

He was attending a program on the completion of 100 years of the Dakshinamurti Swayamsevak Ganeshotsav Mandal. He also added, “With the change in the law there is a crowd in front of the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in all cities. Now people are getting their vehicles insured and are buying helmets. All of these will help in reducing the number of accidents on the roads”. He also said that the aim of the change in-laws was to protect the lives of people and for the safety of the people and fine collection is not the intention,” Gadkari said. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had notified the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019 last month and from 1 September it was implemented in many states of India.

First CNG Station is all set to start In Nagpur

The first CNG Station is all set to start. From September 8 a significant step is taken of promoting unconventional energy as auto fuel. Run by Rawmatt Industries Private Limited the initiative is an outcome of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s vision of converting all fleet of NMC’s diesel vehicles to CNG.

Challenges were opened up to bring LNG and converting it to CNG by Vaddadi Subbarao Director of Rawmatt Industries Pvt Ltd. He also added, “Rawmatt has taken care of all issues to meet the supply chain management and proper inventory to meet the demand and for the regular supply of CNG to Nagpur. It’s Nitin Gadkari’s dream coming true for a clean & environment-friendly natural gas used in automobiles in Nagpur with further advantages such as the cost-effective and sustainable source of fuel,”. Subbarao asserted “Rawmatt set up full-scale conversion centre in Wadi to take up all diesel fleet to CNG conversion systems.

We bring in LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) from Dahej Terminal in Gujarat with the help of tankers. Transporting LNG as compared to CNG is easy and cost-effective. After LNG arrives in Nagpur at our facility. We convert it into CNG with the help of vaporization and further transported to daughter stations by CNG cascades mounted on vehicles,”. He also added, “Rawmatt has all set to set up total 12 cog daughter stations to meet the demand in Nagpur, currently 3 stations are ready for dispensing CNG, NMC buses will run on CNG from tomorrow commercially.

Rawmatt will convert 15000 petrol cars and 10000 petrol Autos soon to CNG in Nagpur. Cost of petrol is 80/- per litre and the cost of CNG will be 60 per kg, CNG gives better mileage and life of the engine. Nagpur will get rid of pollution soon to some extent.”

Inauguration of Tejaswini Electric Bus Depot, Charging Station

The inauguration of Tejaswini Electric Bus Depot and Charging Station was done at Lakdganj Small Factory Area, East Nagpur,  by East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopade on Wednesday, 11 August at 5.30 pm. Mayor Nanda was presiding over the program. Deputy Mayor Dipraj Pardikar as the chief guest, Standing Committee Chairman Pradeep Pohane, Leader of the Opposition Sandeep Joshi, Opposition Leader Tanaji Onewe, Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, Former Mayor Pravin Date, Transport Committee Chairperson Jitendra (Bunty) Kukade, Group Leader, All Transport Committee Committee Member, Additional Commissioner Ravindra Thackeray, Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi, Additional Commissioner Aziz Shaikh, Deputy Commissioner and Pariha Non-manager Rajesh Mohite were present. in view of the increasing pollution due to the use of fuel like petrol and diesel, it was decided to operate the CNG vehicles at CNG.

Under the central government’s JNURM scheme, an important decision was taken by CNN to convert some diesel buses in the Nagpur Municipal Transport Service into CNG. For this, Raw Mat has been appointed by tender. The agency has started work on converting diesel buses to CNG, and on Monday, September 7, Transport Committee Chairman Jitendra (Bunty) Kukde inspected the project. Mechanical engineer Yogesh Lunghe, administrative officer Ravindra Paige, Subbarao of Raw Mat, Kostubh Gupta and others were present on the occasion.

While the whole country is now under pressure of new updated rules and penalties for breaking traffic rules, more and more new traffic rules are getting updated every day. One of the new surprising rule which is being enforced is “two-wheeler users cannot wear ‘chappals’ or ‘sandals’ while riding their vehicle”.

Nagpur-Top most ranking city.

In ranking of the smart city once again Nagpur smart and sustainable city development corporation limited has retained its position. On Friday the ranking of smart cities in the country was declared by the ministry of housing and urban affairs. After the strong and healthy competition for four months, Nagpur Smart city obtained this position. With 364.47 points Nagpur topped in the chart while Ahmedabad was second with 362.34 points. With 2.13 points Nagpur was forward from Ahemdabad. Nagpur was adjudged the first position in the month of April after superseding Ahmedabad in the ranking chart. Every Friday, the MOHUA declared the ranking of all 100 cities on the basis of their performance. Under Smart City Mission Nagpur is implementing 21 projects.

It includes TenderSURE project and Home Sweet Home Project, Construction of 51kms road in Area Based Development. 3600 cameras have been installed under Nagpur safe and smart city project. These cameras are very helpful for Nagpur Police for controlling the city’s activity. The CCTVS are also useful in disaster management. It may be mentioned that Nagpur Smart City has been proposed on 1730 acres land in Pardi, Bharatwada and Punapur area in East Nagpur. Funding for this project is done by the Central and State Government. Rs.3322 is the total cost of projects under the smart city mission. East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde, Standing Committee Chairman Pradeep Pohane and all local corporators are extending support in the project.

Enough water in dams for next Summer.

 

Nagpur Municipal Cooperation has imposed the historic water cut in month July. Now there is sufficient water to fulfill the requirement of the city, Kalmeshwar town, irrigation, and power plants even beyond next summer. 700 million meter cube live water storage has been received by Pench Reseviors Totladoh and Kamptee Khairi and water resource department is expecting another 150-200 MMC water in the remaining days of monsoon. Heavy rain on Friday brought about 90 MMC into Pench Reservoirs. Totladoh which has an actual capacity of 1017 MMC on Saturday it had 623.75 MMC live storage. In Kampthee Khairi the capacity was 53.49 MMC on Saturday it was 142 MMC. On Friday 8 pm, Totladoh’s storage was 560.13 MMC and Kampthee Khairi was 46.89 MMC. This is 189 MMC over and above the dead stock figure. By Saturday evening the storage in Pench reservoirs had increased by 700 MMC. Two gates of Chaurai dam in Madhya Pradesh have been opened bringing in more water to reservoirs said WRD officials. We accept another 150-200 MMC by the end of September. The city has no supply problem. Water can be released for irrigation facility said WRD superintending engineer Jayant Gavali. This year storage is far better than last year. Now the situation is satisfactory but the further decision will be taken on September 16 after verifying storage and requirement said Vijay Zalke chairman of NMC waterworks consultive committee. In the last 54 days, reservoirs got around 705 MMC water. On the account of Ganesh Festival, thrice-a-week water cut was lifted. The water cut will be not reimposed any more said NMC. Pench reservoirs require 1100 MMC to release 165 MMC for drinking purposes to city and Kamleshwar. According to the rule, 15% of the reservoir’s total storage is for drinking water supply. But this year after a sudden change in Monsoon the minimum requirement of irrigation to getting fulfilled.
