Three New DCPs Posted to Nagpur City
Aditya Dharmakhelkar, who was serving as Additional SP in Nashik Rural, has been appointed as DCP in Nagpur City. Kumar Chinta, who was SP Yavatmal, has been transferred to Nagpur as DCP. Annapurna Singh, Additional SP at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural, has also been appointed as DCP in Nagpur City.
The three new officers bring diverse field experience from across Maharashtra. Their posting to Nagpur is expected to strengthen the city’s law enforcement setup ahead of the monsoon season.
DCP Traffic Lohit Matani Transferred Out
One of the major outgoing changes is the transfer of DCP Traffic Lohit Matani, who has been posted to the Highway Police, Nagpur. Matani was known for his work in managing urban traffic in the city and had served in the Traffic Department for a notable period.
Rahul Madne Gets One-Year Tenure Extension
The Maharashtra government has extended the tenure of DCP Zone-3 Rahul Madne by one year. The decision is seen as a move to ensure continuity in policing and law-and-order management in his zone. Such extensions are granted when the government wants to maintain consistency in sensitive or high-priority areas.
Nityanand Jha Moves to Yavatmal as SP
DCP Zone-2 Nityanand Jha has been transferred from Nagpur and appointed as Superintendent of Police in Yavatmal. Jha’s departure creates one of the vacancies that is being filled as part of this round of transfers.
Anti-Narcotics Wing Gets a New Officer Too
Officer Yashwant Solanke, who was serving in Highway Security Nagpur, has been posted as Additional SP in the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Nagpur. This posting signals the government’s continued focus on strengthening anti-drug operations in the Nagpur region.
The fresh postings bring experienced officers from different parts of Maharashtra into Nagpur at a time when the city is managing increased security requirements.
