Spanish Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma has become the first King to die because of the complications of the coronavirus. The 86 year-old, according to Fox News, was the mother of King Felipe VI of Spain. Her Prince Sixto Enrique, Duke of Aranjuez, told Facebook that she had died after she had obtained the COVID-19 agreement. The report was released by Fox News. The post says: “On this afternoon, at the age of eighty-six, our niece, Marie-Teresa de Borbon Parma, and the founder of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Busset, both died in Paris.” Princess Teresa dies weeks after King Philip VI of Spain has checked the virus negatively. Princess María Teresa studies in France and is a lecturer at the Paris Sorbonne, as well as a professor of Sociology at the University of Complutense in Madrid according to the People magazine Born on 28 July 1933. She was known for her outspoken views and social work, contributing to the name of “Red Princess” on Friday in Madrid.
During the meantime, the first British royal to test the coronavirus positive earlier this week was Prince Charles. Nagpurian is proud to be part of the team behind India’s first Covid-19 test kit.
Nagpur: Finally, India is all set to get the first batch of Covid-19 indigenous research kits on March 25. This may be the biggest turning point in the battle against coronavirus outbreaks because our test capability would increase significantly. Interestingly, one of the brains behind the creation of this ‘Made in India’ diagnostic kit is Dr. Gautam Wankhede, a Nagpurian.
A graduate of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Dr. Wankhede is educated in the United Kingdom, where he specializes in transfusion medicine. He is the son of Dr. Ravi Wankhede, who was a pioneer in the preparation and use of blood components in Central India in 1989 and later led the Zonal Transplant Coordination Center (ZTCC), Nagpur, as its secretary for several years.
“Mylabs is planning to produce the first batch by Thursday. We currently have a production capacity of 15.000 tests a day and we will soon be rising it to 25.000, “said Dr. Wankhede. This is credited with introducing some pathbreaking developments in India, such as molecular blood grouping and antenatal red cell antibody screening.
“We already have raw materials and have been developing molecular diagnostics for the last three to four years. So, we can start supplying the kits right away. Many of the components used in our kit come from India, “he said. A few products are imported from other countries, but not from China.
Apart from Mylabs, the German company Altona Diagnostics has applied for an import license from the Drug Controller General of India. But this company will not be able to start shipping lab kits before next week.
Talking to TOI, his proud father, Dr. Ravi, said, “Gautam was inspired to take transfusion medication as he followed our blood bank activities very closely. After coming back from the UK, he worked with Fortis-Escorts Hospital and then went on to the industry side, “he said.
Dr. Gautam has been active in the production and patenting of the Haemovigil Transfusion Safety Program, which is currently being used in leading hospitals across India. Most of the country’s renowned laboratories use ID-NAT screening kits for blood banks/hospitals, quantitative HIV, HBV and HCV kits, all developed under his supervision.
Mylab aims at generating up to 1 lakh test every week. Furthermore, the company says that its test kits are capable of evaluating approximately 100 patients with a single sample. An average laboratory with automated PCR can examine more than 1,000 patients a day.

16,554 passes released in four days for basic services
Nagpur: Every day, thousands of people approach police stations to get passes to travel around the city, believing that they cater for ‘important services.’ Between Tuesday and Friday, the City Police distributed about 16,554 passes to residents who want to move out.
A senior officer told TOI that the order passes are given to people who have a legitimate purpose and who are parts of critical services, such as government employment, MSEB, doctors or medical institutions.
Elsewhere, on Friday, the police arrested 73 people walking around town without a valid excuse or a police pass.
There have also been incidents where people have approached police stations to get passes to fly from one location to another to bring money to the staff. “The contractor decided to give money to his staff, and they needed it because of the current lockdown. So, we issued a one-day pass to the contractor, “said a police officer at Sitabuldi Police Station.
“We’re just trying to ensure that the passport holder’s pictures are on the pass so that they can’t be misused,” the cop said.
Though, the scheme of images on passes seems to be restricted to a police station, as some of them only offer stamps and a justification for the pass/letter.
It is learned that police officers are currently issuing one-day passes as well as long-term passes, as requested by residents and their reasons.
Prasad Pophali, the owner of the tiffin delivery service, said, “We are currently providing dabbas lunch and dinner to about 300 people across the area. It was necessary for me to get a pass, as those outside the city rely solely on my tiffins. So, we applied to the office of the additional police commissioner (crime) Nilesh Bharne, listing the food delivery places, names and vehicle numbers of all our employees. “Pophali received an approval letter the following day, granting his delivery team permission to operate in the defined areas until 31 March. “We will then apply for a renewal of the passport so that our services remain uninterrupted,” he said.
The senior officer explained that delivery boys appointed by online food distribution sites do not need a police pass to deliver orders. “Because the distribution of food is permitted, the delivery boys do not need a police pass to travel to the area. The delivery boys must wear their company’s clothing and carry a valid identification card issued by the company. They must also provide a legitimate reason for stopping during nakabandi, “the cop said.
Until now, no applications for passes has been denied, said the police. However, several people have been told to visit the police stations near their locality to get a pass.
City’s corporate sector offers Rs 1.10 crore for food to govt
Nagpur: After individuals and NGOs, even the private sector of the city is now coming out to help poor citizens and migrants who have been hit many times by the national lockdown. Solar Explosives announced Rs1 crore aid though, Credai, the builder’s body also donated Rs10 lakh.
Manish Nuval from Solar Explosives handed over a check for Rs1 Crore to Minister Nitin Raut’s guardian at the collector’s office on Friday. Similarly, Sunil Dudalwar and Gaurav Agrawal of Credai sent the Minister a request for Rs10 lakh. Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, police commissioner BK Upadhyay, collector Ravindra Thakre and additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi attended.
Earlier, Raut held a review meeting with all senior officials on preparations at the Collectorate to tackle the danger of Covid-19 in the region. A coordinating panel under the collector was set up to ensure that the poor and vulnerable received vital items such as food during the curfew time. The Minister called on interested NGOs, businesses, private organisations and individuals to come forward to support the poor at this time of crisis and to contact the collector.
Raut submitted a request to the state government to allocate Rs25 Lakh under the MLA funds to the area, and the chief secretary showed a positive intention. He promised that food and shelter will be given to those who are in dire straits due to curfew. “And those from other nations, who are stranded on the borders, will be provided with food. Camps would be set up to take care of them. Those that do not get feed for animals due to lockdown will be given assistance before traffic restrictions are in effect, “he said.
Calling all citizens to strictly observe the curfew, the Minister said that poor people who did not fall below the poverty line (BPL) would be provided with rice, flour, tea, oil, chili salt, sugar and other necessary commodities during the curfew era.
“Because people are prohibited to venture outside because of curfew, regular wagers and vulnerable people will suffer the most. The district administration has already begun to supply food grains and other products through the Public Distribution System (PDS) shops. Those who don’t get it will be helped by NGOs working with the city police and NMC staff, “he said.
जेल में कोरोना ना फेल जाए इसलिए प्रशाशन कुछ कैदियों को 45 दिन के लिए पैरोल देने के लिए तैयारी कर रही है।
कोरोना वायरस के कारण पूरे देश में अफरा तफरी मची हुई है इसी के चलते महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने भी जेल में कहीं यह संक्रमण ना फैल जाए सोचते हुए कुछ कैदियों को पैरोल पर छोड़ने का विचार कर रही है।दरअसल जेल प्रशाशन में भी कोरोना का भय बन गया है।जेल में कोरोना ना फेल जाए इसलिए प्रशाशन कुछ कैदियों को 45 दिन के लिए पैरोल देने के लिए तैयारी कर रही है।
महाराष्ट्र में कुल मिलाकर 45 जेल हैं और उसमे कैदियों की संख्या देखा जाये तो लगभग 60,000 हैं। जिसमे कुछ कैदी अंडर ट्रायल है कुछ लगभग 7 साल की सजा भुगत रहें हैं। ऐसा अनुमान लगाया है के लगभग 11,000 कैदियों को इमरजेंसी पैरोल पर 45 दिनों के लिए उनके घर भेजा जायेगा। उन्हें पैरोल पर भेजने के पहले उनका मेडिकल चेकअप किया जायेगा। महाराष्ट्र सरकार जेल कानून में संशोधन लाने का विचार कर रही है। खबर को लेकर एक प्रेस नोट सामने आया है । हालाकि इसके सत्यापन के बारे में कुछ कहना अभी जल्दी होगा
नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने कोरोना विषाणू (कोव्हीड-१९) चा प्रार्दुभाव रोखण्यासाठी प्रतिबंधात्मक उपाययोजने अंतर्गत नागपूर महानगरपालिका
कोरोना’चा प्रार्दुभाव रोखण्यासाठी दहाही झोनमध्ये निर्जंतुकीकरण फवारणी : आयुक्त तुकाराम मुंढे
नागपूर, ता. २७ : नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने कोरोना विषाणू (कोव्हीड-१९) चा प्रार्दुभाव रोखण्यासाठी प्रतिबंधात्मक उपाययोजने अंतर्गत नागपूर महानगरपालिका क्षेत्रात आवश्यक त्याठिकाणी निर्जंतुकीकरण करण्यात येणार आहे. ही मोहीम अग्निशमन वाहनाव्दारे हाती घेण्याचे निर्देश आयुक्त श्री. तुकाराम मुंढे यांनी संबंधितांना दिले.
अग्निशमन वाहनामध्ये सोडियम हायपोक्लोराईडचे मिश्रण तयार करुन संपूर्ण शहराच्या दहाही झोनमध्ये शुक्रवार २७ मार्चच्या रात्री १० वाजतापासून फवारणीला प्रारंभ करण्यात येणार आहे.
विशेष करुन ज्या भागात कोरोनाचे संशयित रुग्ण मिळाले आहेत अशा परिसरात फवारणी केली जावी, असेही निर्देश आयुक्तांनी उपायुक्त तथा आरोग्य अधिकारी (स्वच्छता) डॉ. प्रदीप दासरवार व मुख्य अग्निशमन अधिकारी राजेंद्र उचके यांना दिले आहे.
जगभरात कोरोनामुळे पहिल्यांदाच घडत असलेल्या 10 अनोख्या गोष्टी
जगभरात कोरोना संसर्गानं थैमान घातलं आहे. त्यामुळे जगभरात इतर कशाहीपेक्षा कोरोना संसर्गाच्या नियंत्रणावर अधिक लक्ष केंद्रित झालं आहे. अगदी जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेने कोरोनाला महामारी म्हणून घोषित केलं आहे. तसेच ही जगासाठी आरोग्यविषय आणीबाणी असल्याचं स्पष्ट केलं आहे. त्यामुळे जगभरात त्यावर उपाययोजना केल्या जात आहेत. त्यामुळेच जगभरात कधीही न घडलेल्या गोष्टी होत असल्याचं पाहायला मिळत आहे (Corona 10 Interesting things). भारतात जनता कर्फ्यूच्या घोषणेमुळे अशाच काहीशा न घडलेल्या गोष्टी घडल्या आहेत.
1. चीनमध्ये तब्बल 2 कोटींहून जास्त मोबाईल क्रमांक नॉट रिचेबल आहेत. महत्वाचं म्हणजे जानेवारीपासूनच हे 2 कोटी मोबाईल नंबर संपर्काबाहेर गेलेत. जानेवारी ते फेब्रुवारी या दोन्ही महिन्यात चीनमध्ये कोरोनानं धुमाकूळ घातला होता. त्यामुळे चीन खरोखर मृतांचा आकडा लवपत आहे की काय, अशी शंका व्यक्त केली जात आहे. काही परदेशी वृत्तवाहिन्या आणि वेबपोर्टल्सने ही बातमी प्रसिद्ध केलीय. सध्या जगाात सर्वाधिक मोबाईल युजर चीनमध्ये आहेत. त्यानंतर दुसरा क्रमांक भारताचा लागतो.
2. अत्यावश्यक गोष्टींबरोबरच लॉकडाऊनच्या काळात कंडोमच्या विक्रीतही मोठी वाढ झाली आहे. काही मेडिकल चालकांच्या माहितीनुसार फक्त 10 किंवा 20 नव्हे तर तब्बल 50 टक्के कंडोमची विक्री वाढलीय. हिंदुस्थान टाईम्सच्या रिपोर्टनुसार एरव्ही कंडोमच्या विक्रीत मोठ्या सुट्ट्यांमध्ये वाढ होते. मात्र लॉकडाऊनमध्ये सुट्ट्यांच्या काळतील विक्रीपेक्षाही कंडोमची मागणी अधिक आहे. मात्र पती किंवा पत्नी यांच्यापैकी कुणालाही साधा सर्दी किंवा ताप असेल, तरी त्यांनी शारिरिक संबंध ठेऊ नयेत, असा सल्ला डॉक्टरांनी दिलाय.
3. कोरोनामुळे कोट्यवधी लोक घरातच आहेत. त्यामुळे मनोरंजनासाठी दूरदर्शन रामायण आणि महाभारत या दोन्ही पालिका पुन्हा टेलिकास्ट करण्याच्या विचारात आहे. कोरोनामुळे नवीन कोणतेही सिनेमे प्रदर्शित होणार नाही. शिवाय मालिकांचंही शुटिंग थांबल्यामुळे अनेक वाहिन्या जुने एपिसोड पुन्हा दाखवत आहेत. महत्वाची गोष्ट म्हणजे ज्या लोकांकडे डीटीएच सेवा नाही. त्यांच्या करमणुकीसाठी दूरदर्शन कधीकाळी सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय ठरलेल्या रामायण आण महाभारत या दोन्ही मालिका पुन्हा प्रसारीत करण्याच्या तयारीत आहे.
4. लॉकडाऊनच्या काळात दारु मिळावी, म्हणून केरळमध्ये एका तरुणानं थेट कोर्टात याचिका दाखल केली. मात्र कोर्टानं याचिका तर फेटाळून लावलीच, त्याउलट त्या तरुणाला 50 हजारांचा दंडही लावला. जनहित याचिका ही लोकांच्या हितासाठी करायची असते. मात्र, वैयक्तिक स्वार्थासाठी या तरुणानं कोर्टाचा वेळ वाया घातल्याचा या तरुणावर ठपका ठेवण्यात आला आणि त्याला दंड ठोठावण्यात आला. दंडाची रक्कम त्याला मुख्यमंत्री सहाय्यता निधीत जमा करण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आले आहेत.
5. कोरोनाच्या विषाणुच्या संसर्गानंतर पहिल्यांदाच देशातल्या तब्बल 102 शहरांमधली हवा स्वच्छ झालीय. देशात मोठ्या शहरांपैकी लुधियानात बुधवारी (25 मार्च) सर्वाधिक कमी प्रदूषण नोंदवलं गेलं. मुंबई आणि दिल्लीतल्या हवेचं प्रदूषण कमी झालंय. मात्र लखनौ आणि मुझफ्फरपूर या शहरांमधल्या प्रदूषणाचा टक्का अद्याप कमी झालेला नाही. केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण मंडळानं ही माहिती दिलीय.
6. बजाजसह बड्या उद्योगांनी आपल्या कर्मचाऱ्यांचे पगार कापणार नसल्याचं जाहीर केलंय. कोरोनाच्या काळात नोकरदारांसाठी ही काहीसा दिलासा देणारी बातमी आहे. बजाज कंपनीचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकाऱ्यांच्या दाव्यानुसार कुणाचाही पगार किंवा कुणालाही नोकरीवरुन कमी केलं जाणार नाही. याशिवाय आदित्या बिर्ला, एस्सार ग्रुप, वेदांत ग्रूप यांनीही हाच निर्णय घेतला आहे. टाटा कंपनीचे चेअरमन एन. चंद्रशेखर यांनीही होमक्वारंटाईनच्या काळात घरी राहणाऱ्यांना पूर्ण पगार दिला जाणार असल्याचं सांगितलंय.
7. देशातले संपूर्ण टोल 14 एप्रिलपर्यंत बंद करण्यात आले आहेत. त्यामुळे सलग 21 दिवस देशभरातले टोल बंद राहण्याची ही पहिलीच वेळ आहे. अत्यावश्यक सेवांना कोणतीही अडचण होऊ नये, म्हणून केंद्रीय परिवहन मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी हा निर्णय घेतला आहे. मात्र रस्त्यांची देखभाल, टोलवरची आपात्कालीन व्यवस्था मात्र सुरुच राहणार आहे.
दरम्यान, फक्त सरकारी वाहनं, रुग्णवाहिका आणि जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंची- ने-आण करणाऱ्या गाड्या यांनाच रस्त्यावर चालवण्याची परवानगी आहे.
8. लॉकडाऊनच्या काळात अकोला जिल्ह्यातल्या सर्व पोलीस ठाण्यांमध्ये फक्त 2 गुन्हे नोंदवले गेले आहेत. संपूर्ण जिल्ह्यात 24 तासात फक्त 2 गुन्हे नोंदवले जाण्याची ही पहिलीच वेळ आहे. आधी जनता कर्फ्यू आणि त्यानंतर लॉकडाऊनमुळे संपूर्ण पोलीस यंत्रणा रस्त्यावर आल्यामुळे पोलिस आयुक्तांनी जनतेला मदतीचं आवाहन केलंय.
9. पुण्यात बुधवारी (25 मार्च) गुढीपाडव्याच्या मुहू्र्तावर वाहन खरेदी झाली नाही. एकही वाहन किंवा सोनं खरेदीविना हा पुण्यातला पहिलाच गुढीपाडवा असावा. एका माहितीनुसार गेल्यावर्षी पुण्यात गुढीपाडव्याच्या मुहूर्तावर साडेसात हजार, तर पिंपरी-चिंचवड भागात साडेतीन हजार वाहन विक्रीची आरटीओकडे नोंद झाली होती. मात्र यंदा कोरोनामुळे मोठा फटका बसलाय.
10. अमेरिकेत कोरोना व्हायरसमुळे मृतांचा आकडा 1 हजारच्या वर गेला आहे. चीन, इटली, स्पेन आणि त्यानंतर अमेरिकेसाठी कोरोना सर्वाधिक डोकेदुखी बनलाय. सुरुवातीच्या काळात कोरोनाला नियंत्रणात केल्याचे दावे अमेरिका करत होती. मात्र काही तज्ज्ञांच्या मते चीननंतर अमेरिका कोरोनाचं दुसरं ठिकाण बनू शकतं. कारण, इटली आणि स्पेनमध्ये कोरोनाबाधितांची संख्या जास्त असली, तरी पर्यटन आणि लोकसंख्येचा आकडा याबाबत अमेरिका या दोन्ही देशांपासून खूप पुढे आहे.

सर्व कर्जाचे हफ्ते ३ महिने स्थगित, रिझर्व्ह बॅंकेची मोठी घोषणा
मुंबई : करोनाला रोखण्यासाठी देशभरात लागू झालेल्या लॉक डाऊननंतर अर्थव्यवस्ठेला सावरण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकारपाठोपाठ रिझर्व्ह बँकेने आज मोठी घोषणा केली. बँकेने प्रमुख व्याजदरात ०.७५ टक्क्याची कपात करून तो ४.४० टक्के करण्यात केला आहे. व्याजदर कपातीने ग्राहकांना मोठा दिलासा मिळाला असून गृह, वाहन यासह इतर कर्जांचा दर कमी होणार असून मासिक हप्त्याचा भार हलका होणार आहे.
बाजारात रोकड उपलब्धता वाढवण्यासाठी एसएलआर दर ३ टक्के करण्यात आला आहे. यामुळे बँकांना १.७ लाख कोटींची अतिरिक्त रोकड उपलब्ध होणार आहे. याशिवाय आणखी दोन उपाययोजनांमुळे येत्या ३० जून पर्यंत बाजारात ३.७४ लाख कोटीची अतिरिक्त रोकड उपलब्ध होणार असल्याचे आरबीआयने म्हटल आहे.
लॉक डाऊनच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर बँकेच्या पतधोरण समितीने नियोजित वेळापत्रकाचा आठवडाभर आधीच बैठकी घेतली. ज्यात समितीने रेपो दरात ०.७५ टक्क्यांची कपात करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. आरबीआय गव्हर्नर शक्तिकांत दास यांनी ही घोषणा केली. RBI ने रेपो रेट ०.७५ टक्के घटवून ४.४० टक्के केला आहे. रिव्हर्स रेपो रेट ०.९० टक्के घटवून ४ टक्के केला असल्याचे शक्तिकांत दास यांनी सांगितले.
करोनाशी लढा देण्यासाठी अर्थमंत्रालया गुरुवारी १.७० लाख कोटींची पॅकेज जाहीर केले होते. रेपो दर कपातीनंतर शेअर बाजार तेजीत दिसून आली. सेन्सेक्स १००० अंकांनी तर निफ्टी ३०० अंकांनी वधारले आहेत. दरम्यान रिजर्व्ह बँकेच्या १५० कर्मचाऱ्यांना खरबदारीचा उपाय म्हणून quarantine केले असल्याची माहिती दास यांनी यावेळी दिली.
