ऑरेंज सिटी मधे पार्किंगच्या समस्येवरही मात करावी लागेल

नागपूर. आपण जिथे रस्त्यावरुन मुख्य रस्ते आणि चौकांमध्ये रस्त्यावर जाता तिथे थांबण्यापूर्वी सर्वात मोठा प्रश्न म्हणजे गाडी कोठे उभी करायची? दुकाने, रुग्णालये इ. समोर दुचाकी पार्क करण्यासाठी जागा नाही. स्मार्ट सिटी बनण्याच्या दिशेने उचललेल्या चरणांमध्ये पार्किंगच्या महत्त्वपूर्ण सुविधा पुरविण्यावर विशेष लक्ष देणे आवश्यक आहे. ऑरेंज सिटीमध्ये या समस्येवर मात केली जाऊ शकते परंतु संबंधित प्राधिकरणाच्या इच्छेची आवश्यकता आहे. शहरातील सर्वाधिक व्यस्त बाजारपेठ, वसाहतींमध्ये अशा ठिकाणी आहेत जेथे केवळ नियोजन आवश्यक आहे.

शहरातील मुख्य बाजारपेठ सीताबर्डीबद्दल बोलताना एनआयटीने येथे कार पार्किंग प्लाझा बनवून आपले काम पूर्ण केले आहे. ते पुरेसे नाही रस्त्यांच्या दोन्ही बाजूला रांगा लागल्या आहेत. या बाजारपेठेत पीकेव्हीची जमीन मोरभवन बसस्थानकासमोर, पटवर्धन मैदान, गोरक्षणासाठी उपलब्ध आहे. जिथे मल्टीस्टोरी पार्किंगची संपूर्ण योजना आखून व्यवस्था करता येईल. यापैकी एखादी जागा वापरल्यास या मुख्य बाजारपेठ परिसरातील रस्त्यांवरील रहदारी व्यवस्था खुली होईल आणि तिथे कोंडी होणार नाही.

बसस्टँडसह पार्किंग मोरभवन बसस्थानकाची जमीन बसस्थानक म्हणून वापरता येईल आणि येथे मल्टीस्टेरी पार्किंग प्लाझा बांधला गेला तर खालचा बसस्थानक व वरच्या पार्किंगची सुविधा उपलब्ध होऊ शकते असे उद्योजक दिनेश अग्रवाल यांचे म्हणणे आहे. यामुळे या बाजारपेठेत वाहने उभारण्याची समस्या दूर होईल. त्याचवेळी सिव्हील अभियंता अनिल सिंग यांचे म्हणणे आहे की सीताबर्डी मार्केटमध्ये दोन पार्किंगची ठिकाणे आहेत पण ती अपुरी आहेत. वाहन उभे करण्यासाठी वाहन घेऊन बाजारात जावे लागते. कधीकधी, तो देखील जाम होतो.

गोवारी पुलाखालील पे एन्ड पार्क आहे परंतु त्याचा वापर फक्त बिग बाजारासमोरच दिसून येतो. यशवंत स्टेडियम जवळील पटवर्धन मैदानावर जिथे स्टार बसचे पार्किंग देण्यात आले आहे, येथे जर मल्टीलेव्हल पार्किंग प्लाझा तयार झाला तर स्टार बस व वरील वाहने उभे करण्याची सोय असेल. एक ढोलोली-उशाची व्यवस्था केली जाऊ शकते मानपा विभागीय कार्यालय धंतोलीच्या मागील भागामधील उशाचे मैदान अनेक वर्षांपासून रिक्त आहे. येथे पार्किंगची व्यवस्था केली जाऊ शकते.

धंतोली येथे मोठ्या संख्येने खासगी रुग्णालये असून या भागात चारचाकी वाहने व दुचाकी उभ्या करून रस्ते अडविण्यात आले आहेत. पार्किंग ही एक गंभीर समस्या आहे. बाहेरील लोकांच्या हालचालीमुळे आणि वाहनांना घरासमोर ठेवल्यामुळे स्थानिक नागरिकांना त्रास होत आहे.

हे फक्त केले जाऊ शकते

नवीन खासगी व शासकीय निवासी योजनांमध्ये ही जागा सामुदायिक पार्किंगसाठी आरक्षित ठेवावी. मोठ्या वसाहतींमध्ये पीपीपी मॉडेलवर मल्टीलेव्हल पार्किंग विकसित केली पाहिजे. पार्किंगच्या जागेच्या अटीवर चारचाकी वाहनधारकांना वाहने विक्रीसाठी प्रतिज्ञापत्रे घ्यावीत. जे खासगी जमिनीवर सार्वजनिक पार्किंग करण्यास पुढे आले आहेत त्यांना घराची उंची वाढविणे, पार्किंगचे कामकाज व फी यामध्ये सूट देण्यात यावी. सार्वजनिक वाहतूक सेवा परवडणारी, प्रवेश करण्यायोग्य आणि वेगवान असावी जेणेकरुन लोक त्यांचा वाहनांचा वापर कमी करतील. रस्त्यावर पार्किंग देखील आकारले जावे जेणेकरून लोक रस्त्याच्या कडेला कुठेही पार्किंग टाळतील.

नागपूर: कोरोना विषाणू संक्रमणाचा वाढता फैलाव व प्रभाव लक्षात घेता दैनंदिन कामकाजांत व व्यवहारांत ऑनलाइन देवानघेवान प्रथेची संख्या सर्वत्र वाढली आहे. या संक्रमणात नोटांच्या अदलाबदली मधूनही कोरोना विषाणूचा प्रसार होण्याची संभावना बळावली असते यासाठीच नागपूर वाहतूक पोलिसांनीही चालान भरण्याच्या नियमात बदल केला आहे, गेले दोन दिवसांपासून वाहतूक नियम मोडणा-्यांचे चालान ऑनलाइन पद्धतीने सुरू आहे. या कारणाशिवाय वाहतूक संदर्भात नियम मोडणाऱ्यांना भर रस्त्यावर चलान भरतांना रोख रक्कम घेतानाचे व्हिडिओ खोडसाळपणे चुकीच्या रीतीने मांडून पोलिसांची बदनामी केली जायची त्यामुळे यासंदर्भात यापुढे अशाप्रकारे रोख रक्कमेस जागेवरच भरता येणार नाही तर यासाठी पेटीएम, गुगल पे, या ॲपद्वारे वा नेटबँकिंगने ऑनलाइन पद्धतीने चालान रक्कम भरता येईल अशी माहिती उपआयुक्त विक्रम साळी यांनी दिली
सद्ध्या कोरोना संक्रमणाचा कमाल प्रादुर्भाव वाढलेला आहे आणि पोलीस दल विशेषत: याबाबतीत रडारवर आहे, पोलीस दलात बहुसंख्य कर्मचाऱ्यांना कोरोनाची लागन झाली आहे, त्यामुळे वाहतूक विभाग दक्षता उपाययोजनांवर विशेष भर देत आहे अशी माहिती उपायुक्तांनी यावेळी दिली.
ते म्हणाले, लोकांच्या सर्वात जास्त संपर्कात वाहतूक विभागच असतो व त्यांचे विशेष डिव्‍हाइस द्वारे चालान भरण्याची जी पद्धत होती ती बदलण्याचा निर्णय घेतला गेला आहे, चालान केले असलेल्यास ट्रॅफिक विभाग सदर संबंधिची लिंक पाठवेल, त्या लिंक वरूनच त्या चालानची भरपाई करु शकतील अशी व्यवस्था केली गेलेली आहे.
ज्यांच्याकडे ऑनलाइन बँकिंग सुविधा नाही अथवा पेमेंट ॲप्स असलेला एण्ड्रॉईड मोबाईल नाही अश्यांच्या करिता “पेमेंट अनपेड” अशी सुविधाही त्यात ठेवलेली आहे ज्याचे साह्याने सदर ईसम ती रक्कम घरी गेल्यावर अथवा नंतर भरू शकेल त्यासाठीचा कालावधीही निश्चित करण्यात आलेला आहे. अशी माहिती विक्रम साळी यांनी यावेळी दिली.

नागपुर पुलिस ट्रैफिक कंट्रोल करने के लिए ला रही है लेजर गाइडेड स्टॉप लाइन सिस्टम

नागपुर : दरअसल बढ़ते ट्रैफिक और यातायात के नियमों में होती लापरवाही को देखते हुए नागपुर यातायात पुलिस ने एक नई पहल की है।इस पहल के चलते चौराहों पर लेजर गाइडेड स्टॉप लाइन सिस्टम लगाया जाएगा। इस सिस्टम की कार्यप्रणाली के अनुसार यदि कोई भी व्यक्ति ग्रीन लाइट लेजर बीम को पार करेगा तो उसे नियम का तोड़ना माना जाएगा।

जब भी आपको रास्ते में रेड सिग्नल मिले उस वक़्त ग्रीन लाईट बीम को क्रॉस नहीं करना है। यदि कोई ग्रीन लाईट बीम को क्रॉस करेगा तो लाउडस्पीकर से आवाज़ आएगी ” गाड़ी पीछे लो ,तुमने स्टॉप लाइन क्रॉस की है ,नागपुर ट्रैफिक पुलिस ” । यह लेज़र गाइडेड स्टॉप लाइन सिस्टम ,ट्रैफिक की समस्या को देखते हुए बहुत ही अच्छा विकल्प है। रात के वक्त तो यह ग्रीन लेजर बीम बहुत आसानी से देखी जा सकती है। फिलहाल यह लेजर गाइडेड स्टॉप लाइन सिस्टम शहर के लॉ कॉलेज चौराहे पर एक प्रयोग के तौर पर लगाया गया है। सफल परीक्षण होते ही इसे पूरे शहर में लागू किया जा सकता है।

Deekshabhoomi Chowk to the North Ambazari road to stay closed from January 30.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation will close the road from Deekshabhoomi Chowk to North Ambazari as a result of the Phase I Cement Concrete Road Project.

Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has directed the authorities to block vehicle entries from 30 January to 30 March.

The Cement Concrete Road Project is to be built by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation from Phase I, Package-9 to Road No. 35 from Deekshabhoomi Chowk to North Ambazari City.

NMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar ordered the right-hand and adjacent roads to divert traffic.

4.87 Lakh traffic violations across Nagpur lead to the refusal of 2,895 driving licenses.

For a period of about 6 months, 2,895 driving licenses have been suspended across Nagpur. The suspension process was carried out by the three national transport offices. The action was taken on the breach of traffic rules, such as speeding, jumping signals, drunk driving and the use of mobile phones by riders while driving. A total of 4,87 lakh traffic violations have been observed and action has therefore been taken.

The Nagpur traffic police and rural police, along with regional transport offices, have regularly taken action against those violating the traffic rules. As a result, 0.59% of prisoners had to face revocation of their license. The police have disciplined all therapists who have crossed the speed limits and overtaken them. According to the reports, the City RTO Office suspended the highest number of licenses with a total of 1,512 licences, while the East Office suspended 622 licences. A total of 761 licenses have been revoked by the Rural RTO Office. From the data obtained, 1,702 riders were faced with suspension for drunk driving.

The total number of drivers whose licenses were revoked for signal jumping was 374. Further reports revealed that 120 licenses had been suspended for drivers who were in excess of speed. A total of 275 riders used mobile phones while driving and therefore had to face the consequences. A senior traffic police officer said that they wanted to spread the message of compliance with the traffic rules, or else they would be penalized for breaking those rules. He also noted that these crimes could risk the lives of those who drive and, often, could also be extreme. They have started to forward the list of traffic violator licenses to RTO offices for the revocation of these licences.

Sitabuldi ‘One way’

One-way traffic has been arranged on important roads in the Sitabirdi area to relieve traffic congestion on the highways of the city, while there has been a rule for single-lane parking at Ramdaspet. There will be no parking in some places. The traffic police branch has made these decisions. All traffic on the Sitabirdi Main Road from the Long Bridge to the Variety Chowk has been closed. This route will be open only from Varitya Chowk to Iron Pool. Apart from this, parking rules have been imposed on 13 routes in Ramdas. It will have no parking for all types of vehicles, from Pushpunj Apartments to Aditya Dental Care. Single-lane parking for two-wheelers, one-way car parking from Pushpakunj Apartments to Khara Bungalow, No parking for all vehicles from Indian Overseas Bank to Nook Apartments, Single-lane for all vehicles from Big Bazaar to Janata Chowk. Parking has been implemented. Apart from this, parking rules have been imposed on some other roads in Ramdas. Similar planks will be installed on these routes.

Repair Potholes On Top Priority | Nagpur

Abhijit Bangar promptly writing to all agencies to take up work of filling up potholes on top priority. A little prod from Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court pushed the civic machinery in action with Municipal Commissioner. Bangar has written that they need to ensure that roads need to be smoothened to Project Director, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Chairperson, Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT), General Manager, Maha Metro, and Chief Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD).

Reference of letter from Assistant Commissioner, Zone-VIII about the poor condition of roads was given for NHAI, Bangar specifically underlined stretches on Pardi and Sadar where flyover construction is underway by them. High-intensity rains during the season worsened the situation on the ground already the roads were in bad shape. In the letter, Commissioner also mentioned that they need to address the issue of potholes that have formed on national highway stretches passing through the city. Due to ongoing construction of fly-over On Bhandara Road in Pardi area, one can hardly find any semblance of roads. The contract for flyover also had component relating to construction of concrete road but as primary work has slowed down there is no sign about the repairs to road surfaces yet. The fly-over construction is going on since the last few years on Sadar and Katol Road. The movement of heavy vehicles particularly those carrying pre-stressed concrete structures and concrete mixers to the site put extra load on the tar roads that have caved in at various places.

 By contractors, the corresponding repairs to make this roads vehicle worthy was neglected by leaving people to suffer untold miseries on a daily basis. Taking cognisance of newspaper articles and photos mentioned difficult time for road users, Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court rapped civic body for its failure to provide pothole-free roads in the city it was mentioned on Tuesday.

The letters are dated September 17, 2019, means they were drafted post receipt of communication from the office of Government Pleader to NMC, in the evening. Municipal Commissioner underlined the cognisance taken by HC about potholes in city and said former should take quick steps so that information about action taken can be submitted to the court was mentioned In separate letters to each of the agencies. To GM, Hingna it was mentioned that due to bad conditions of roads the citizens are facing difficulties while driving on them.  Maha Metro, the road stretches on Kamptee, Wardha, Central Avenue, North Ambazari to Hingna. Action plan about repairs the potholes and damaged roads on their project route so that the information can be furnished to HC during next hearing was also asked by him. Time to time the civic body had intimated the agencies to fill up the potholes on the roads stretches where their development work is going on was also underlined by Municipal Commissioner.

3.51 cr traffic dues in Nagpur.

Orange City’s record of paying up traffic challans even under the old regime are not encouraging as traffic violators of Nagpur owes the City Traffic Department fines of over Rs 3.51 crore. Though the Parliament has passed the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill and notified on the hike in fines for traffic violations beginning September 1. The fine is just between the period of February 8 and September 11, this year.  Traffic Department has already raised exchequer for the state by recovering Rs 4,72,08,351 from 1,74,189 challans. Fine worth Rs 3,51,38,350 is in debt on commuters in terms of pending 74,284 challans. Such figures have clearly put the smart citizens of the smart city in contrast.

The statistics fetched from City Traffic Department revealed that the department had issued total 2,48,473 challans worth Rs 8,23,46,701 across the 10 zones viz, Ajni, Cotton Market, Indora, Kamptee, Lakadganj, MIDC, Sadar, Sakkardara, Sitabuldi, and Sonegoan. Compared to last year, the Traffic Department has issued total 2,25,466 challans (worth Rs 5,98,56,000) i.e. comparatively 62,385 challans (worth Rs 1,02,36,700) more, than that for the exact same period, between January 1 and September 10, 2019.

 Between January 1 and September 10, 2018, the department had issued total 1,63,081 challans (worth Rs 4,96,19300). Traffic Department has urged citizens to install ‘MahaTrafficapp’ to avoid any uncertainty and to derive information about challans. Traffic Department has started calling traffic violators and directed zonal traffic officers to collected fine by paying the violators’ home a visit.

Nagpur Police to Vikram Lander.

This time Nagpur City Police is going viral through the internet and this time for their adorable tweet on Isro spotting Vikram Moon Lander on the lunar surface. The official handle of Nagpur City Police, @NagpurPolice took to social media today to post their tweet which said, “Dear Vikram, Please respond. We are not going to challan you for breaking the signals! #VikramLanderFound #ISROSpotsVikram @isro #NagpurPolice. Isro (Indian Space Research Organisation) announced that they made a successful attempt after finding the lander Vikram in one piece on the lunar surface and after a hard-landing after knowing news finally this tweet has come. With these mission of Isro Chandrayaan-2,  the tweet also hilariously made a hilarious remark on the new Motor Vehicles Act. After it was posted, Nagpur Police’s tweet received a lot of love from the internet across the city.

One Twitter user wrote, “Nagpur Police. Yes, indeed, Hopes of 133 crore Indians attached to #Vikram. It’s truly an exception. And YOUR tweet is EXCEPTIONAL!” another wrote, “That’s a really sweet one. Vikram you can’t break so many hearts, you would not even know how many shed tears for you.” This tweet already had 5.5k retweets and 18k likes. Vikram, with rover ‘Pragyan’ housed inside it, hit the lunar surface after communications with the ground-stations were lost during its final descent, just 2.1 km above the lunar surface, in the early hours of Saturday. “It had a hard-landing very close to the planned (touch-down) site as per the images sent by the on-board camera of the orbiter. The lander is there as a single piece, not broken into pieces. It’s in a tilted position,” an Isro official associated with the mission claimed on Monday. “We are making all-out efforts to see whether communication can be re-established with the lander,” said Isro.

“Maha Trafficapp” Launched.

From February 8, 2019 ‘One State, One E-challan’ the ambitious project of Maharashtra state has been implemented in the city. State Police have launched ‘MahaTrafficapp’. With the help of this app, the vehicle owners can find out if e-challans have been issued to their vehicles and pay them. This app will be really useful for the citizens as well, it will assist citizens to upload the live image of traffic violations they spot, like helmetless riding or talking on the phone while driving, as well as report incidents disrupting traffic flow, like tree collapse and expect prompt action.

This new app will curb all old irregularities like now commuters tweet photographs and videos of traffic violations to Nagpur Police’s Twitter handle, and in some instances, police respond with details of the e-challan issued to the offenders. Not only for Android, but the ‘MahaTrafficapp’ has also been launched on IOS platforms. The citizens can download the app according to their cell phones and enrol their vehicle numbers. For any issues, citizens can register any complaint with a single click on Civilian reports. It contains all information regarding traffic alert, fines, traffic signs, road safety.
