SBI ATM cash withdrawal: New rules from today. Details explained here

State Bank of India (SBI) has implemented a one-time password (OTP)-based cash withdrawal program for its ATMs, taking into account the increasing instances of ATM-related fraud. Starting today, 1 January 2020, SBI’s OTP-based ATM cash withdrawal facility has entered the network. The largest lender in the country told customers through a tweet about the new ATM withdrawal facility. The bank said this facility will be available between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. for transactions of some 10,000. From now on, if you plan to take cash out of SBI ATM after 8 in the night, don’t forget to take your phone with you, because without your mobile phone you won’t be able to do that.

With regard to OTP-based withdrawal, you will need the one-time password that will appear on your mobile registered with the bank.

How will SBI customer withdraw cash via OTP In this process, once the cardholder enters the sum they wish to withdraw, the ATM screen will show the OTP key. In order to receive the cash, SBI customers will need to input/punch the received OTP on their mobile number registered with the bank on this computer. The facility will not require any major change in the present process to withdraw cash from SBI ATMs.

SBI OTP-based ATM transaction not applicable to other bank ATMs This facility will not be applicable to transactions from another bank’s ATM because the National Financial Switch (NFS) has not established this technology. NFS is the country’s largest interoperable ATM network and handles over 95% of domestic interbank ATM transactions. This additional authentication component would protect SBI customers against unauthorized ATM cash withdrawals.

SBI customers have been able to simply reach the ATM and withdraw cash by entering their PIN so far.

When fraudulent ATM cash withdrawals are on the rise, more banks are likely to follow suit. The banks are now alerting customers when money is debited from their account through SMSes.

Drone takes beautiful pictures of the metro station Jhansi Rani in Nagpur

Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) Janak Kumar Garg recently conducted a day-long visit to the Nagpur Metro Project to inspect the Jhansi Rani Metro Station. The two-member team, including CMRS, inspected the metro station’s public amenities and other facilities. During the officials ‘ visit to the station, a mock fire drill was also carried out. The CMRS team shared satisfaction with the metro station’s facilities.

The officials of the CMRS went to Jhansi Rani Metro Station, one of the leading Aqua-Line Reach-III Metro Stations. With the escalators at the station, the two officials began their inspection. Specific escalator safety standards were checked on the occasion. During the use of escalators, incidents resulting from unforeseen circumstances were also recognized and checked accordingly.

The drone captured beautiful pictures of Metro Station Jhansi Rani running on the Nagpur aqua line. See the photos below:

Nagpur Metro to cover the distance between Lokmanya Nagar and Sitabuldi Interchange within 20 minutes.

From Day One on the Aqua Line to Lokmanya Nagar Station and Sitabuldi Interchange Journey in just 20 Minutes Now the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety Node for 80 km / h Speed Between Lokmanya Nagar Station and Sitabuldi Interchange Orange Line Experience Comes Handy For Aqua-Line Clearances The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has given his consent to the operation. This would enable the metro train to run at a specified speed from the day the services are introduced on the Aqua Line.

This would mean that the journey between these two stations would take just 20 minutes. The fact that the metro train can run at 80 km / h from day one of its launch is a significant achievement for the project. The journey between these two stations normally takes up to an hour, which can now be completed in just 20 minutes.

While CMRS had previously imposed sanctions for beginning commercial operations in Reach-I, the entire process was carried out in multiple steps. However, the same process was carried out in Reach-III in reduced steps and the metro train can now operate on the Aqua Line at a speed of 80 km / h on its own from the first day.

The experience of CMRS trials in Reach-I was handy for Maha Metro while conducting similar tests in Reach-III. While the necessary clearances for R-III came in one go, the different phases of clearances for Orange Line are listed below:

  1. 1 train, 1 line, 1 hr, 25 kmph, 12 trips
  2. 2 trains, both lines, 1 hr, 25 kmph, 25 trips
  3.  4 trains, both lines, 30 min, 25 kmph, 48 trips
  4. 4 trains, both lines, 15min, 80 kmph max, 100 trips

Some time back, the CMRS carried out experiments on the basis of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Automatic Train Safety, Traffic Control System, Automatic Train Control and other mechanisms. There was a team of CMRS officials in Nagpur for these exams. The node of the CMRS came after successfully performing trials in these regions.

Work on four subway stations, other than Sitabuldi Interchange, has been completed. These are: Lokmanya Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Institute of Engineers and Jhansi Rani Square Metro Station. With all the requisite permits already under the belt, Maha Metro is all set up for the launch of passenger services on the Aqua Line.
