Manufacturing units in MIHAN will provide jobs
The MIHAN project was the dream project of late former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. His concept was that Nagpur is in the middle of NAGPUR and here comes an export hub, then Vidarbha’s economy can improve well. Keeping this in mind, Mihan was born. The government took ground there and the project started. Initially, it was marketed very well. Its head office was kept in Mumbai. Mihan was promoted everywhere in the country and was distributed in two ways. One was placed in SEZ, and some in non-SEZ. Some were placed in a commercial. There was a lot of effort at that time. Then the government changed. The way Mihan needed to push after changing the government. That government did not do this. At that time there was a boom of software in the whole country. Perhaps Mihan could not get the benefit of that boom. This is to say that Nitin Lonkar, president of Butibori Manufacturers Association. During this, Lonkar told that due to not getting the benefit of the boom, the land by big companies like Wipro, Infosys. But they could not start functioning. We needed to pursue Mihan. But due to lack of promotion, Mihan could not develop. On the infrastructure of crores of rupees which are engaged in Mihan, Lonkar said that there is a world-class infrastructure in Mihan. Infrastructure is equipped with all facilities. Sarkar wanted to attract international software companies and international companies of the country. Mihan will get the benefit of the government’s expenditure in the coming time. Talking about the employment of youth of Vidarbha in Mihan, he said that the promotion we gave to the software companies in SEZ was not right. Because there are fewer employment opportunities for software companies. While manufacturing employs 100 people, software companies employ only 10 people. If it were a manufacturing area instead of SEZ, employment would increase here. If the government takes a decision and increases the non-SEZ area, then surely the youth of Vidarbha will get employment.
Sadar flyover to be completed in the first week of the new year
The public does not trust
In the last few days, construction work is being seen fast. Gattoos are being installed at Liberty Chowk. During this time, traffic is not interrupted, so the traffic police are being deployed. The road above the flyover is being asphalted. If this speed had already been shown, the flyover would have been ready in a year and a half. It is worth noting that even though the administration has expedited the construction work, the local citizens are refusing to accept it. He says that even after showing speed in the construction work for a few days before this, the work starts again at a tortoise pace.
It’s not fog but dust
Sadhi resident Nidhi Naidu said that due to this construction work, dust is blowing in the premises in such a way that fog has spread. The citizens of the campus are facing a lot of trouble due to the dust from the construction work. Like Delhi, the pollution here is being spoiled. Not only this, no leaders are taking serious steps regarding the problems of citizens. Even after paying tax on time, people are being made ill by doing pollution in the name of basic amenities. Work has gained momentum recently, but how long will this pace last, it is difficult to say.
Encroachment and parking became a headache
Shubham Sarjane, a resident of Sadar, said that due to encroachment on the footpath, people do not even get a place to walk. The same situation is from the Coffee House to Gittikhadan Chowk Marg, where the garage owners have occupied more than half the road and set up shop. Even after taking action, the garage owners have regained the road. The encroachers have covered half the road to repair the vehicles. The same problem remains on both sides of this route. Due to the construction work of the metro from Gaddigodam Chowk to Indora Chowk and Sitabardi, people are already troubled by the situation of the jam. At the same time, encroachment has increased the problems of citizens. Pollution is increasing due to construction work wherever seen on the campus. Most citizens in the area are having trouble breathing due to dust.
