मुंबई. महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री और राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (NCP) के नेता अजीत पवार को बड़ी राहत मिली है. उन्हें सिंचाई घोटाले के 17 मामलों में क्लीन चीट मिल गई है. भ्रष्टाचार रोधी ब्यूरो (ACB) ने 27 नवंबर को बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट में क्लीनचीट को लेकर हलफनामा दायर किया.
एसीबी के शपथपत्र के अनुसार विदर्भ सिंचाई विकास निगम के चेयरमैन रहे अजित पवार को एजेंसियों के कार्यों के लिए जिम्मेदार नहीं माना जा सकता. इसका मुख्य कारण ये है कि अजित के पास कोई भी कानूनी जिम्मेदारी नहीं है.
समझा जाता है कि क्लीन चिट के बाद पंवार को अब शीघ्र ही उद्धव ठाकरे सरकार में डिप्टी सीएम बना दिया जाएगा.अजीत पंवार पर इस मामले में भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप शिवसेना और भाजपा ने लगाए थे और उग्र आंदोलन किए थे.

अजित पवार के पास महाराष्ट्र में 1999 से 2014 के दौरान कांग्रेस-राकांपा गठबंधन सरकार में सिंचाई विभाग की जिम्मेदारी थी. एसीबी के महानिदेशक संजय बारवे ने एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था जनमंच की ओर से दाखिल याचिका के जवाब में हाईकोर्ट की नागपुर पीठ के समक्ष एक हलफनामा दाखिल किया था.
