सिंचाई घोटाले के मामले में अजित पवार को राहत देने पर एसीबी (ACB) (DG) ने कहा कि इस घोटाले उनकी कोई भूमिका नहीं थी.

मुंबई. महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री और राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (NCP) के नेता अजीत पवार को बड़ी राहत मिली है. उन्हें सिंचाई घोटाले के 17 मामलों में क्लीन चीट मिल गई है. भ्रष्‍टाचार रोधी ब्‍यूरो (ACB) ने 27 नवंबर को बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट में क्लीनचीट को लेकर हलफनामा दायर किया.

एसीबी के शपथपत्र के अनुसार विदर्भ सिंचाई विकास निगम के चेयरमैन रहे अजित पवार को एजेंसियों के कार्यों के लिए जिम्मेदार नहीं माना जा सकता. इसका मुख्य कारण ये है कि अजित के पास कोई भी कानूनी जिम्मेदारी नहीं है.

समझा जाता है कि क्लीन चिट के बाद पंवार को अब शीघ्र ही उद्धव ठाकरे सरकार में डिप्टी सीएम बना दिया जाएगा.अजीत पंवार पर इस मामले में भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप शिवसेना और भाजपा ने लगाए थे और उग्र आंदोलन किए थे.

2018 में ठहराए गए थे जिम्मेदार

इससे पहले महाराष्ट्र में हुए करीब 70 हजार करोड़ के कथित सिंचाई घोटाले में भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक ब्यूरो ने नवंंबर 2018 में पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री और एनसीपी नेता अजित पवार को जिम्मेदार ठहराया था. महाराष्ट्र भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक ब्यूरो ने बंबई उच्च न्यायालय को बताया था कि करोड़ों रुपये के कथित सिंचाई घोटाला मामले में उसकी जांच में राज्य के पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार तथा अन्य सरकारी अधिकारियों की ओर से भारी चूक की बात सामने आई है. यह घोटाला करीब 70,000 करोड़ रुपए का है, जो कांग्रेस- राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी के शासन के दौरान अनेक सिंचाई परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी देने और उन्हें शुरू करने में कथित भ्रष्टाचार तथा अनियमितताओं से जुड़ा हुआ है.

अजित पवार के पास महाराष्ट्र में 1999 से 2014 के दौरान कांग्रेस-राकांपा गठबंधन सरकार में सिंचाई विभाग की जिम्मेदारी थी. एसीबी के महानिदेशक संजय बारवे ने एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था जनमंच की ओर से दाखिल याचिका के जवाब में हाईकोर्ट की नागपुर पीठ के समक्ष एक हलफनामा दाखिल किया था.
