यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा विदर्भ के सभी शालाओं के छात्र छात्राओं हेतु दिनांक 01.09.2023 को यू जीनियस प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का भव्य आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि श्री उल्लास नरड़, डिप्टी डाइरेक्टर शिक्षा रहे तथा विशेष आथित्य श्री नवीन जैन, महाप्रबंधक, पुणे अंचल का रहा . इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 800 विद्यार्थियों ने अपने पालकों एवं शिक्षकों के साथ उपस्थिती दर्ज की । इस प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ मुख्य अतिथियों श्री उल्लास नरड़, डिप्टी डाइरेक्टर शिक्षा, एवं यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के वरिष्ठ कार्यकारियों श्री नवीन जैन, अंचल प्रमुख पुणे, श्री. मयंक भारद्वाज उपअंचल प्रमुख पुणे श्री एमवीएन रवि शंकर, क्षेत्र प्रमुख नागपुर, श्री अनूप तराले, क्षेत्र प्रमुख, अमरावती, श्री राजेश यादव, उप क्षेत्र प्रमुख नागपुर, श्री प्रमोद ठाकुर, उप क्षेत्र प्रमुख, अमरावती, श्री एस शिवकुमारन, उप क्षेत्र प्रमुख, नागपुर, श्री सुभाष गजभिए, उप क्षेत्र प्रमुख, अमरावती एवं क्विज मास्टर डॉ बर्टी ऐशले द्वारा द्वीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया।

प्रतियोगिता के प्रथम चरण में कुल 200 टीम के 800 छात्र, छात्राओं ने वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्नोत्तरी में अपने हाथ आज़माए जिसमें से कुल 6 टीम अंतिम चरण स्टेज राउंड के लिए चयनित की गईं, भवन्स बी पी विद्यामंदिर सिविल लाइंस से यशस्वी साबू एवं मधुरा दानी सेंटर पॉइंट स्कूल-2 काटोल रोड से अमी परिहार एवं अनन्या बहेती, नारायणा विद्यालयम से श्लोक लोनारकर एवं अर्णव शिंदे , सरस्वती विद्यालय शंकर नगर से रेणुकादेवी चुनोडकर एवं किरीट लोखण्डे , स्कूल ऑफ स्कॉलर्स, अकोला से हमज़ा एवं व्यजयंती, सोमलवार निकालस खामला से वेदान्त मुंढे एवं कुशाल पोफली अंतिम चरण में पहुँचने वाली टीम रहीं।

समस्त टीम के बीच मुक़ाबला बेहद रोचक रहा, सोमलवार निकालस, खामला की टीम अंतिम राउंड तक पिछड़ रही थी लेकिन अंतिम बज़र राउंड में टीम ने हर प्रश्न पर बज़र पहले बजा कर सही जवाब दिये और कुल 300 अंक बटोर लिए इस तरह मात्र 50 अंक के अंतर से अपने निकटतम प्रतिद्वंदी सेंटर पॉइंट स्कूल-2 काटोल रोड को पराजित कर विजयी रहे।

यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के तत्वाधान में आयोजित यू जीनियस सामान्य ज्ञान प्रतियोगिता के अंतिम परिणाम कुछ इस प्रकार रहे छठे स्थान पर सरस्वती विद्यालय, शंकर नगर, पाँचवें स्थान पर नारायणा विद्यालयम, चौथे, तृतीय एवं द्वितीय स्थान पर क्रमशः स्कूल ऑफ स्कॉलर्स, अकोला, भवन्स बी पी विद्यामंदिर सिविल लाइंस एवं सेंटर पॉइंट स्कूल-2 काटोल रोड की टीम रही। विजेता की ट्रॉफी एवं चैम्पियन स्कूल की रोलिंग ट्रॉफी सोमलवार निकालस खामला के नाम रही।
