अमेरिका आणि इराण  मध्ये सुरु असणाऱ्या संघर्षाचा मोठा परिणाम हा जागतिक बाजारपेठेत दिसून येत आहे. एकीकडे सोने,चांदी, पेट्रोल, डिझेल, यांचे भाव दिवसागणिक वाढत आहेत तर डॉलरच्या तुलनेत भारतीय रुपयांचा भाव सातत्याने घसरताना दिसत आहे. आजच्या माहितीनुसार, सराफा बाजारात आज सोन्याचा दर प्रति 10 ग्राम हा 41 हजार 730 रुपये आहे कालच्या तुलनेत यामध्ये एकाएकी 720 रुपयांची दरवाढ झाली आहे. तर चांदीचे भाव देखील काल 51,042 रुपये प्रतिकिलो असे होते. येत्या काळात हे भाव आणखीन वधारण्याची शक्यता आहे. दुसरीकडे, कच्च्या तेलाचे भाव सुद्धा वाढत आहेत येत्या काही दिवसात ही किंमत 70 $ प्रतिबॅरल वरून किमान 82 $ प्रति बॅरल होऊ शकते. सोबतच आजचे पेट्रोल डिझेलचे भाव पाहता, पेट्रोल सध्या प्रति लिटर 81 रुपये 58 पैसे आणि डिझेल प्रति लिटर 71 रुपये 02  पैसे इतक्या दराने विकले जात आहे.एकीकडे काही वस्तूंच्या दरामध्ये वाढ होत असताना, शेअर बाजारात मात्र बरीच घसरण पाहायला मिळत आहे. काल, सेन्सेक्स 789 अंकांनी निफ्टी 233 अंकांनी खाली आले आहे, एकूणच या परिस्थितीमुळे काल गुंतवणूकदारांना 3  लाखांचा फटका बसला आहे. भारतीय रुपया सुद्धा डॉलरच्या तुलनेत खाली येताना दिसत आहे. काल रुपयात 13 पैशांनी घसरण होऊन आज डॉलरचा दर 71 रुपये 93 पैसे आहे.

दरम्यान, अमेरिका आणि इराण मधील परिस्थिती येत्या काळात बिघडत गेल्यास ही दरवाढ कायम राहणार असल्याची चिन्हे आहेत. अमेरिकेने केलेल्या एअर स्ट्राइक मध्ये कमांडर कासिम सुलेमान याची हत्या झाल्याने इराण कडून देखेल युद्धाचा इशारा दिला जात आहे. परिणामी असे झाल्यास तिसऱ्या महायुद्धाची शक्यता व्यक्त केली जात आहे. याच कारणामुळे गुंतणूकदारांमध्ये गुंतणूकीबाबत निश्चितता नसल्याने सध्या शेअर मार्केट ऐवजी सोने- चांदी या सुरक्षित पर्यायात गुंतवणूक करत आहेत, परिणामी या बाजारात भाव वाढ दिसत आहे.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने शुक्रवार और शनिवार को जवाहर लाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय (JNU) प्रशासन की ओर से शिकायत मिलने के बाद दो एफआईआर दर्ज की हैं। इन एफआईआर में जेएनयू के 22 छात्र नेताओं का नाम है। इनमें जेएनयू छात्र संघ के अध्यक्ष आइशी घोष का भी नाम शामिल है। पुलिस जल्द ही इन छात्रों को पूछताछ के लिए बुलाएगी।शुक्रवार और शनिवार को भी छात्रों ने जेएनयू परिसर में हंगामा किया था। छात्रों ने सर्वर रूम ठप कर लोगों को बंधक बनाने के साथ संपत्ति को नुकसान पहुंचाया था। जेएनयू प्रशासन ने हंगामा करने वाले इन 22 छात्रों के खिलाफ नामजद शिकायत दी थी।पुलिस सूत्रों ने बताया कि हॉस्टल में मारपीट के दौरान जेएनयू प्रशासन की तरफ से पुलिस को पत्र लिखकर परिसर में हो रही हिंसा और कानून व्यवस्था को काबू करने के लिए आग्रह किया गया। इसके बाद पुलिस ने परिसर में अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल को बुलाया और स्थिति को नियंत्रित करने की कोशिश की गई।

  वसंतकुंज नॉर्थ थाने में सोमवार को जेएनयू हिंसा में आइशी घोष, विवेक कुमार, गौतम शर्मा, गीता कुमारी, साकेत मून, सतीश यादव, राजू कुमार, चुनमुन यादव, कामरान, मानस कुमार, दोलन और सारिका चौधरी सहित 22 लोगों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है।जेएनयू में फीस की बढ़ोतरी को लेकर छात्रों का एक गुट पिछले कुछ दिनों से विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रहा था। पुलिस की मानें तो रविवार शाम पौने चार बजे पुलिस को सूचना मिली थी कि जेएनयू के पेरियार हॉस्टल परिसर में कुछ छात्र मारपीट और तोड़फोड़ कर रहे हैं। तत्काल पुलिस की टीम उक्त हॉस्टल के पास पहुंची, जहां पुलिस ने देखा कि 40-50 की संख्या में अंजान और नकाबपोश लोग हाथों में रॉड और डंडे लेकर मारपीट और तोड़फोड़ कर रहे थे। ये लोग पुलिस को देखते ही मौके से भाग गए।

• कुछ घंटे बाद फिर बवाल
  शाम करीब 7 बजे के आसपास फिर से पुलिस को सूचना मिली कि जेएनयू के साबरमती हॉस्टल में कुछ उपद्रवी 50-60 की संख्या में घुस गए हैं और तोड़ फोड़ कर रहे हैं। साबरमती हॉस्टल में पहुंची पुलिस ने पाया कि वहां 50-60 की संख्या में उपद्रवी हाथों में डंडे लेकर हॉस्टल में तोड़फोड़ कर रहे थे। पुलिस ने उन्हें हॉस्टल से चले जाने की चेतावनी दी। इस पर ये तोड़-फोड़ करते हुए वहां से भाग गए। इस घटना में घायल हुए छात्रों को तत्काल एम्बुलेंस के माध्यम से एम्स ट्रॉमा सेंटर, एम्स अस्पताल और सफदरजंग अस्पताल भेज दिया, जिन्हें सोमवार को छुट्टी दे दी गई।पुलिस उपायुक्त देवेन्द्र आर्या ने बताया कि पुलिस टीम ने जेएनयू परिसर में कई जगहों पर लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज जब्त की है। हंगामे के बाद से वायरल हो रही वीडियो की भी पुलिस जांच करेगी। इनकी मदद से हंगामा करने वालों की पहचान कर उन पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

The US won’t be able to observe the January 10 eclipse as it happens during its hours of daylight. It is going to be seen by countries across Asia, Europe and Africa. Australia will be a witness to it in addition to the aforementioned continents.

These divine occurrences have always caused people’s wonder or terror. Unlike the solar eclipse, a naked eye can look at the lunar eclipse. Although it’s just a heavenly event, many beliefs have been attached to it by Indians. Others think it’s good for their company, career or wellbeing, while others think it’s bad for them.

This year’s other lunar eclipse will take place on 5 June, 5 July and 30 November.

Since mid-2017, the first mover in UPI payments has lost share to rival apps introduced by major internet and e-commerce companies, many of whom are multinationals.

Despite dipping slightly month-on-month in November, the number of transactions made using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) channel reached Rs 2 lakh crore in December. In December, the UPI reported 1.3 billion Rs 2.02 lakh crore transactions, up from the previous month’s 1.22 billion Rs 1.89 lakh crore transactions.

According to data released by India’s National Payments Corporation (NPCI), its Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) application has been used to make 17.82 million Rs 6,316.37 crore transactions. In other words, the app now contributes in terms of volume a mere 1.37 % to UPI use.

Since mid-2017, the first mover in UPI payments has lost share to competing apps introduced by major internet and e-commerce companies, many of whom are multinationals.

As of January 1, retailers will no longer be required to fork out Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) fees to accept UPI payments. The government’s change is aimed at forcing smaller retailers to follow more of the payment system.

Mandar Agashe, founder and vice president of Sarvatra Technologies, said: “This would make it easy for every retailer to start accepting payments through RuPay debit card and UPI and drive digital payments at merchant outlets to a large extent.” The government’s requirement that all companies with Rs 50 crore turnover or more accept payments through RuPay debit cards and UPI QR codes would increase adoption.

At the same time, some industry watchers say the recent decision to waive charges on transactions involving National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) that eventually cannibalize UPI transactions. At least 70% of UPI volumes included peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions and the difference between UPI users and NEFT users could be significant.

In addition, on January 1, a two-year MDR subsidy offered by the government for merchant transactions up to Rs 2,000 expired. This, too, could cause some merchants to fall off the network earlier using UPI.

Nagpur: Kishor Wankhade, 66, and his three young nature friends from Wardha will travel more than 800 km to attend the 33rd’ pakshimitra sammelan’ (birders ‘ meeting) at Revdanda in Alibagh district.

Wankhade and his likes might have preferred a vehicle to take part in the two-day state-level meeting starting on January 11, but the bird watchers have a message to save birding interest climate.

Well-known bird expert and author Raju Kasambe will open the sammelan. Many experts, bird lovers and country amateur bird watchers will participate.

“I didn’t even leave the ground at the age of 66. I’m still cycling, playing sports, running, walking and all kinds of physical activities that keep me fit, “says Wankhade, who is also chairman of the Bahar Nature Foundation (BNF), Wardha.

Wankhade will be joined by three other Bahar leaders — Dilip Virkhade, Deepak Gudhekar and Darshan Dudhane. On January 4, the party will leave Wardha and enter Alibagh on January 10 in 7 days, meaning that they will cover a distance of more than 100 km each day.

Wankhade said, “I have traveled 850 km last year to attend a similar birders ‘ meeting at the state level in Karad. The chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, is expected to broaden his ministerial council on Monday. The development comes 32 days after Thackeray, on November 28, took the oath as the CM. Over the past few days, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders from Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress had held several meetings to finalize the plans for cabinet expansion. The MVA government currently has, in addition to the chief minister, only six ministers from the Cabinet, two from each of the three parties.

Approximately 36 ministers are expected to be inducted on Monday, including those from the ranks of Cabinet Ministers and Ministers of State.

At noon in the Maharashtra Legislature precinct, Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari will administer the oath to the new team. Maharashtra cabinet’s total strength can be as high as 42 including the chief minister.

According to the latest information on Sunday, President Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar of the Nationalist Congress (NCP) could bounce back as Deputy Chief Minister.

While there has been speculation that Congress has eyed the Deputy Chief Minister’s post, it is excluded as Congressman Nana Patole has become the Speaker.

Ashok Chavan could be made a minister among the senior leaders of the Congress, while Prithviraj Chavan could be accommodated as the president of the State Congress, as Balasaheb Thorat is now a minister of the cabinet.

Last month, on November 23, Ajit Pawar rebelled and became Deputy Chief Minister under then BJP Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The two-man government, however, could last only 80 hours. Fadnavis is now leading the opposition in a new role. A Common Minimum Program (CMP) and a seat-share system were proposed by the three parties. After signing a Joint Discussion Record with the Border Security Force (BSF) at the 49th DG-level Border Coordination Conference on 25-30 December, he was addressing a media briefing.

“We frequently arrest people crossing the border, Bangladeshis who came to India accidentally or for work,” Islam replied to a question at the joint press briefing with BSF Director-General Vivek Johri also attending.

In response to the daily pushbacks of “illegal” immigrants from the Indian side to Bangladesh, the BGB DG said: “We frequently apprehend people who illegally cross borders.”

The BSF undertook joint efforts to prevent trans-border crimes such as cattle smuggling, Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and gold at the bilateral border coordination conference.

Certain crimes such as illegal migration and trafficking in human beings, breach of the border fence between India and Bangladesh, border breaches and illegal entry, abduction or kidnapping, and illegal crossing by citizens of countries other than Bangladesh have also been reported.

In addition, border infrastructure problems— development of single-row fencing, infrastructure works and building within 150 yards of International Border without prior intimation— were also discussed in talks attended by an 11-member BGB team.

In the conference attended by a 10-member delegation, BSF also raised joint efforts to effectively implement a Comprehensive Border Management Plan through synchronized organized patrols, identifying vulnerable areas and sharing information, and confidence-building steps. The BSF DG, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other law enforcement agencies, took part in the conference that began on Thursday, one day after the Bangladesh delegation arrived in the national capital.

प्याज की कीमतों में बेतहाशा बढ़ोतरी से बिहार में भी लोग बीते एक महीने से परेशान हैं. राज्य में 100 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम की दर से बेची जा रही प्याज पर अब लुटेरों की नजर है और प्याज-लहसुन की लूट की घटनाएं सामने आ रही हैं. राज्य के कैमूर जिले के मोहनिया थाना क्षेत्र में लुटेरों ने एक ट्रक चालक को बंधक बनाकर उस पर लदी 102 बोरी प्याज लूट ली. (सभी तस्वीरें सांकेतिक हैं).पुलिस का दावा है कि 24 घंटे के अंदर अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा. पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने शनिवार को बताया कि ट्रक चालक देशराज कुशवाहा के अनुसार वो इलाहाबाद (प्रयागराज) से जहानाबाद के लिए 102 बोरी प्याज (51 क्विंटल) ट्रक (रजिस्ट्रेशन संख्या यूपी 72टी/3797) पर लेकर जा रहा था, तभी गुरुवार रात लगभग 10 बजे करीब आधा दर्जन हथियारबंद अपराधियों ने मोहनिया के मुठानी डायवर्जन के पास उसे बंधक बना लिया और अपने वाहन पर बैठाकर ले गए.

पुलिस अधिकारी ने बताया कि लुटेरे ड्राइवर को करीब चार घंटे तक इधर-उधर घुमाते रहे. जब ट्रक से प्याज की सभी बोरियां ठिकाने लगा दी गईं, तब आधी रात के बाद लगभग 2 बजे अपराधियों ने उसे घटनास्थल से पांच किलोमीटर दूर ले जाकर छोड़ दिया. इसके बाद जब वह ट्रक के पास पहुंचा तब उसके ट्रक से प्याज की बोरियां गायब थीं.

देशराज उत्तर प्रदेश के कौशांबी जिले का रहने वाला बताया जा रहा है. मोहनिया के थाना प्रभारी उदयभानु सिंह ने बताया कि देशराज के बयान पर मोहनिया थाने में प्याज लूट की प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर ली गई है और पुलिस पूरे मामले की छानबीन कर रही है.मोहनिया के पुलिस उपाधीक्षक रघुनाथ सिंह ने दावा किया कि लुटेरे गिरोह का पता चल चुका है और अगले 24 घंटे के अंदर लुटेरों की गिरफ्तारी कर ली जाएगी. उन्होंने कहा कि लुटेरों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए छापेमारी की जा रही है.

इससे पहले 6 दिसंबर को भी इसी तर्ज पर कैमूर जिले के कुदरा थाना क्षेत्र में लुटेरे एक वाहन से 64 बोरी यानी करीब 1920 किलोग्राम लहसुन लूट लिए थे. इस मामले की प्राथमिकी कुदरा थाने में दर्ज कराई गई थी, परंतु अब तक इस मामले में पुलिस को कोई सफलता हाथ नहीं लगी है. प्याज और लहसुन की लूट की खबर चर्चा का विषय बनी हुई है.
